a friend of mine decided it would be funny to call all the numbers on the flyers with the names of escorts that they hand out. except he had just checked out of his hotel room so while killing some time before his flight in the hotel lobby he watched about a dozen hookers walk up towards his room.
Carl, we didn't get any hookers, but that is a fucking hilarious idea!
Dan, we didn't go into the Golden Goose, but we went into the Golden Gate. Shitteriffic!
Loops, I can verify Dan's comment that the monorail is definitely not free. It's $5 for a single ride or $9 for a 24 hour pass. We bought the day pass, but after riding it twice, we decided it was such a pain in the fucking ass to use, that it wasn't worth it. The point is to travel up and down the strip, but it's at the rear of the casinos, and in some cases, several blocks from the strip. You either have to hoof it or wander through a full block of casino floors and winding rows of shops. And also as Dan mentioned, there ARE free trams between different casinos farther down the strip around The Luxor, Excalibur, etc. So even it WAS free, the monorail is pretty much only useful for getting from the extreme ends of the strip in terms of saving time and walking.

The Golden Goose! Alcohol filled footballs!
I can't believe I just commented on this. It's like fate.
I was just there a month ago!
And AFTER we came home the Travel Channel told us the monorail is free. Fuck.
THE monorail isn't free...
Some monorails between casinos owned by the same company (such as the one between the Monte Carlo and the Bellagio are...)
Hope that makes you feel better!
