Boning by the numbers
I saw a link to to this article that said "Average man sleeps with 7 women." Before clicking, the figure in the headline shocked me a great deal. "Good God! I'm 31 years old, and I'm behind the average! I've only ever slept with ONE! How could I have let this happen?" I thought. Then I read the article and was relieved to find that they didn't mean at once. Whew!

Do these number surprise anybody else? I guess of the friends whose sexual histories I know, the ones who fall below the median were married at a (relatively) young age. And the others... well... we just must be a bunch of whores. ;)
Uh oh. I was married young, yet still apparently fall under the "whore" category. I think those ladies were lyin'. Four? Seems awfully low. I think we're supposed to multiply by three...

Kristen, it does seem low compared to the experiences shared by most people I know. At least for women. I think Jen's got something. There's a saying about getting the real numbers of sexual partners by dividing the claimed number from men by 3 and tripling the number reported by women. Virgins and sluts!!!
